Data Deletion Request
Circa Ailarm — Developer: Ceyhan Girca
Effective date: May 31, 2026
Last updated: August 10, 2026
1. Scope
This page explains how data processed by the Circa Ailarm app is deleted, what is retained, and for how long. The app has no account system (no email, password, or user account is required), so deletion is largely on your device and under your control.
2. How to Delete Your Data
2.1 From inside the app — immediate
Tap Settings → Reset all data and complete the two-step confirmation. This immediately deletes your alarms, chronotype profile, wake records, addresses, and all preferences from the device. The action cannot be undone.
2.2 By uninstalling — complete deletion
Uninstall the app from your device. Everything Circa Ailarm stores on the device — alarm settings, chronotype profile, wake statistics, addresses, audio cache, and the device identifier — is removed by the operating system along with the app. No separate request is needed.
Uninstalling does not cancel your subscription; see Section 4.
2.3 Further requests and questions
If your request is not covered by the steps above, write to support.circaailarm@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days at the latest.
3. Data Deleted and Retention Periods
3.1 Data kept only on your device
The following never leaves your device; we hold no copy on our servers:
- Alarm settings and preferences → Deleted the moment you reset or uninstall
- Chronotype profile and name → Deleted the moment you reset or uninstall
- Wake statistics and records → Deleted the moment you reset or uninstall
- Home/work addresses → Deleted the moment you reset or uninstall
- Synthesized audio cache → Deleted the moment you reset or uninstall
- Motion sensor data → Never recorded; processed only in the moment during wake verification
3.2 Data sent for the morning brief
When preparing the morning brief, location coordinates, address coordinates, and a calendar summary are forwarded through our own API proxy to the relevant third-party services (OpenWeather, Google Maps Platform, OpenAI).
- Retention on the proxy server → None. The server only forwards the request; it does not store request bodies and keeps no request logs.
- Abuse counter → The only data held on the server is a daily request count. Its key consists of a randomly generated device identifier and the date; it contains no location, address, calendar, or name data. It is deleted automatically after 2 days.
- Third-party services → Their own retention policies apply. Brief text sent to OpenAI is kept for at most 30 days and is not used for model training.
3.3 Subscription record
Subscription status is held by our subscription provider RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier. This identifier is assigned at random by the app; it contains no personal data such as your email, name, or device identifier, and cannot be matched to your identity.
- When you uninstall the app → The anonymous identifier is deleted from your device and the record is left unowned.
- Active subscription records → Tied to Apple/Google billing. They are retained for the duration of the subscription and thereafter for the statutory period required by financial record-keeping obligations.
Because the record is tied to an anonymous identifier, it is technically not possible to locate and delete a particular user's RevenueCat record. That record contains no data identifying you in the first place.
4. Cancelling a Subscription
Cancellation is separate from deletion and is done through your store account:
- iOS → App Store → Apple account → Subscriptions
- Android → Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
